On this composition
A folk tale, retold for your wall.
A golden full moon hangs over the garden and the whole court is out. In the centre, a carved boat drifts across a lotus pool, a crowned figure seated under its canopy with two ladies. Around the water, everyone has something going on.
Musicians play drum and veena at the top left, a lady swings on a rope swing between two friends at the top right, dancers twirl in red and blue skirts, and a flute player keeps the tune going near the bottom. Domed pavilions sit in each corner with people watching from inside, while peacocks strut across the ivory ground and deer and birds slip between the shrubs. Iron red, cobalt, gold and a touch of celadon, framed by a fine blue floral border.
Made as a statement piece, bright and busy enough to own a big wall: a living room, a dining room, a cafe or a lobby.
This is a canvas print: HP Latex inks on 380 GSM canvas, made to order. Pick it as a wrapped canvas, or in a floater frame in matt black, natural, antique gold or walnut. It arrives ready to hang.
