On this composition
A folk tale, retold for your wall.
Every school morning, before the first bell. Two long blocks of children stand in rows with their hands folded - boys in striped shirts and grey trousers on one side, girls in pinafores and white socks on the other - while two teachers in patterned saris face each other at the foot of a flag pole with a plain cloth pennant.
On the left runs the old arched verandah of the school building; on the right a huge banyan tree throws down its hanging roots over a round platform. Drawn as a wide panorama in the fine outlined manner of a Kalamkari cloth in grey, rose, ochre and cream, inside a border of red flowers and leaves with a flat dark edge.
A long piece for above a sofa, a cafe counter, a staff room or anyone who still remembers the assembly song.
This is a canvas print: HP Latex inks on 380 GSM canvas, made to order. Pick it as a wrapped canvas, or in a floater frame in matt black, natural, antique gold or walnut. It arrives ready to hang.

How big is it, really?
Every size this print is offered in, drawn to scale against the furniture it suits and against a six-foot person. One scale for everything shown.
