A folk tale, retold for your wall.
A cycle rickshaw rolls through the bazaar, the rider pedalling with his scarf flying behind him while a mother and her little one ride in the back. The kid is pointing at something in the stalls, because of course they are. Paper lanterns hang overhead on a string, glowing softly.
On every side the market spills out: stacked quilts and printed fabrics, shirts on hangers, rows of patterned pots, baskets and hanging fish. Peacocks strut along the bottom, fish swim through the air and leafy branches curl in from the corners. It is drawn in a fine Madhubani-style line in porcelain blue, cobalt and blush pink on a pale sky-blue ground, inside a dainty flower-and-triangle border.
A calm, pretty take on a busy street for a cafe corner, a bedroom, a hallway or a first flat that wants some everyday India on the wall.
This is a canvas print: HP Latex inks on 380 GSM canvas, made to order. Pick it as a wrapped canvas, or in a floater frame in matt black, natural, antique gold or walnut. It arrives ready to hang.
